Twenty years ago, I immigrated to Canada as a professional engineer. At that time I had 2 small children and was starting my life in a new country. I struggled adapting to the culture, to the weather and raising a family of 5 while trying to make a living and starting a new life.

When the pandemic hit, I was 50 years old and I was off work for 16 weeks. I was living on my own and I wondered what I was going to do to be able to survive. How would I be ready for retirement, with the uncertainty of the situation? I felt so anxious and worried thinking I would not be able to make it on my own.

I wrote a book during the pandemic about self discovery and self acceptance and realized that my call was to become an Author and that changed everything!

What I realized…

After a lot of searching, I realized also that for me, my purpose was becoming an Author but the bigger picture was that everyone really needs to examine what they love to do and start doing it part time, which many times can and does result in a whole new fulfilling career.

What I learned…

I learned I had been living with the frustration of not being able to fulfill my potential. I was always overqualified for what I was doing and at the same time felt I was not enough to reach higher goals. At some point I realized that I was living my life forgetting how much I had inside.

Writing is my SuperPower!
